Thuraya Satellite Services
Thuraya was designed to complement existing GSM networks and expand usage beyond conventional network coverage areas. Thuraya’s mobile satellite services offer a broad range of services that include voice, data, fax, short messaging, GPS through its dual mode handsets in an area spanning nearly 1/3 of the Globe.

Thuraya Roaming
Once outside the coverage area, you can use your phone within a GSM compatible network. If you are in Thuraya’s coverage area and have an existing cellular service, the Thuraya phone allows you to access your local network and then link to satellite mode once you are outside that service area. You can even use the SIM card of your normal mobile to access your GSM network on the Thuraya phone.

GPS
The Thuraya GPS service has navigational and safety benefits, in addition to its valuable applications for commercial fleet management and rescue and relief operations.
